Six Doctors Honored by Peers as Texas Super Doctors®

The Texas Heart Institute is pleased to announce that six cardiologists with the Texas Heart Medical Group have been recognized in Texas Monthly’s annual Super Doctors® list. Texas Monthly’s annual Super Doctors® list is out on the newsstands this month and honors professionals who have been recognized by their peers for their exceptional contributions to the fields of medicine.

Nominations are made by other doctors or are identified by the Super Doctors’ research committee. Nominees go through a thorough selection process that evaluates them based on ten indicators of professional accomplishment. Only around five percent of specialists in Texas receive the honor of being named to the Super Doctors list. Practitioners with less than 10 years in practice are eligible for the Rising Stars list which includes less than 2.5 percent of eligible doctors.

The honored doctors in 2022 include Dr. Briana Costello and Dr. Alexander Postalian who were designated Rising Stars in July. Dr. Eduardo Hernandez-Vila (17th year), Dr. Emerson Perin (12th year), Dr. David Fish (16th year), and Dr. Stephanie Coulter (17th year) have all earned spots on the Texas Super Doctors list for the past 12 years or more.
